Patricia Lee Dorff

Editorial Director

Patricia Dorff is editorial director at the Council on Foreign Relations. Previously, she was associate editor at Foreign Affairs magazine, from 1988 to 1995. She joined CFR in 1986 as a research associate in Middle East studies. Dorff graduated with combined degrees in history and political science from the University of California, Los Angeles, and received an MA in international relations from Georgetown University and an MPhil in international relations from Columbia University. She is coeditor, with the late Ambassador Princeton N. Lyman, of the CFR Book Beyond Humanitarianism: What You Need to Know About Africa and Why It Matters.
